Fundraiser Potluck Party for Indian Children & Elderly
Saturday March 19 from 6pm on
Live jazz, awesome food, Indian stuff
on sale, presentation on the
charity ASIS.
Anne (who teaches ashtanga at YiY) came across this
organisation during her most recent trip to South
India. She will be selling incense, oils, scarves,
tshirts, mat-bags and cotton mats to benefit ASIS.
The mission of ASIS (American Society for
International Shanti) is to directly improve the
lives of exploited, at-risk, destitute children and
the forgotten, suffering elderly, enabling them to
become "beacons of light" and share the same gifts
of peace, goodwill and generosity with others for
the rest of their lifetimes.
