Yoga considers suffering the foundational paradigm of living. Yoga sastra also tells us whatever is ‘sweet in the beginning is bitter at the end‘ and vice versa. How are we supposed to understand this pessimistic outlook on life? What happened to pleasure and happiness? Through yogic breathing we have the opportunity to get a personal hands-on experience of this central paradigm and other deep teaching from the ancient yogis.… followed by 30 min Q&A

Detailing the Primary series, practice.
This is traditional Primary Series guided class. Following this immaculate practice form we will allow for occasional inspired spinoffs into technical detail and useful hints for moving your practice along, potentially bridging spiritual gaps between your body, the practice and how it applies to our lives off the mat. We will explore anatomical mechanics for a deeper, injury free and more informed practice, as well as touching on the background of the Ashtanga method. Tim’s sincere, down-to-earth and humorous teaching style makes for a fun, focussed and reverent evening. All levels welcome.
