Eden  Edell

Eden traveled to twenty-four countries on four continents, swam from Alcatraz to San Francisco, and graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Geography. It was in college that Eden discovered yoga and used the practice to manage stress. After college she continued to deepen her practice. Meditation and asana practice continue to be transformative and healing tools in Eden’s life - so much so that in 2018 she completed a 200-hour teacher training program led by Hana Raftery and Ngugi Kihara. Eden is a dedicated student of life. Since completing a 200 hour teacher training she continues to take workshops in the topics of yoga asana, meditation, public speaking, trauma informed yoga, thai massage, and much more. Currently, she is working towards another 200 hours of teacher training (to be completed in 2019) led by many teachers, including Louis Jackson and Hillary Easom.

Eden teaches yoga in order to share the many benefits yoga has given her with others. She hopes to create a comfortable space for people to practice mindfulness, introspection, body-awareness, and self-love. Eden will regularly play music and sing to her students in her classes during Savasana. Grateful and happy to be part of the YIY community, for the teacher’s she continues to learn from and practice with here. When Eden is not practicing or teaching yoga you might find her hiking, swimming, cooking, painting large murals, singing or traveling.
