Stephaniediscovered yoga in 2008 while working as a traveling nurse in the San Francisco Bay area. She initially began practicing as an outlet for coping with the stress of caring for people suffering from cancer. She quickly found herself falling in love with the vast depth of the practice, experiencing inner connection, presence and peace like never before. In 2016, Stephanie completed a 200 hour teacher training at YogaSource Los Gatos and has been embarking on numerous training and teaching endeavors ever since. She has a passion for self-discovery, inner growth and becoming more intimate with the human experience through contemplative practices. Stephanie has trained extensively in Mindful Self Compassion and completed the Compassion Cultivation Program through Stanford University. She is currently a student of the Certified Mindfulness Teacher Training program (MTI), graduating in summer of 2021. Stephanie is passionate about sharing these life changing practices with others and readily incorporates mindfulness and self-compassion practices into her work as a registered nurse at Stanford Hospital.
Compassion and mindfulness teachings weave through all of Stephanie’s vinyasa flow yoga classes where she focuses on a deep embodied accepting awareness towards the human experience. She encourages students to develop a warmth towards themselves within the practice, emphasizing breath awareness, inner stillness, curiosity and acceptance to each new moment on the mat.
