Thoa is an avid swimmer and yoga practitioner since 2000. She has been a student of yoga for years and is a graduate of the Avalon Yoga Teacher Training Program in 2009 under the mentorship of Anirudh Shastri. She has experimented with different styles of yoga with many great teachers in the Bay Area.
She discovered Ashtanga practice after her classes with Beata Skrzypacz and began her Mysore Ashtanga practice in 2010 with Anne Findstad, and has continued her study with Beata.
She attended led classes by Ashtanga teachers Sharath & Saraswathi Jois, and has been continuously studying with Johnny Smith, Mitchell Gold & Kirsten Berg, Petri Raisanen, Peter Sanson and many other amazing Ashtanga teachers. In her teaching, she emphasizes the dynamic side of Vinyasa, focusing on alignment principles and breath control. She suggests modifications to accommodate students at all levels. She encourages students to flow with conscious awareness with integrity and grace of movement.
She finds her pursuit of Yoga to be deeply fulfilling and loves to share the joy and benefits of yoga practice with people around her.
