Ayurveda recognizes that each of us has a unique constitution and offers methods to maintain the proper balance of the body, mind and consciousness.
In this workshop, we will start with understanding the main aim and principles of Ayurveda, including Three Doshas and 10 pairs of opposite qualities. We will engage in lively group work and discussions to find out how to apply Ayurveda in everyday life.
Everyone will detect their doshic constitution and learn about early signs of doshic imbalance as well as ways to bring the balance back using seasonal lifestyle changes, daily routines and healing food properties.
We will also look at digestion from the Ayurvedic perspective, and what you can do to improve it. At the end, everyone will get the chance to prepare an Ayurvedic drink, custom made for their constitution and current state.
Personal consultations as well as cooking classes will be available to schedule after the workshop as needed.
Vika took her first yoga class at the gym at her workplace in 2007 and practiced yoga since then. She started practicing Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2013 at YiY and fell in love with the practice because of its ability to uncover the truth about our mental, emotional and physical states.
Ashtanga practice made Vika challenge every habit and every aspect of her life including diet and daily schedule. Looking for the foundational knowledge about healthy, balanced lifestyle, she started studying Ayurveda and graduated from Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda as Ayurvedic Health Counselor (AHC) in 2019. She also has strong interest in Vegan and Ayurvedic cooking. She is studying Vegan cooking with Mark Reinfeld (Vegan Fusion Academy).
Vika is very passionate about Yoga and Ayurveda, she is happy that these ancient sciences became part of her life. She feels honored when she gets a chance to share her knowledge with others.
