Featured Charity: Educate!
Many members of the YiY community are involved in remarkable charitable projects. This month we would like to highlight the effort of Boris Bulayev, an Amherst student and son of YiY manager Sabina Hentz. Boris and his student friends have established the charity Educate! “a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to refugees and other needy pupils in Uganda and Rwanda to attend school.”

If you are interested in supporting this great and efficiently run cause they have an informative website: http://www.educateafrica.org Typical tuition costs run to $75 per trimester or $225 a year. Find out more on Educate!’s site

YiY Hiking Group August’s hike was to amazing Big Basin. We are lucky to be living within driving distance of one of Nature’s wonders. Eleanor wrote about the experience: “As we drove through dappled shadows along a winding mountain road lined by some of the tallest trees on Earth, little did we realize that soon we would be lost in those same Redwood forests.” Email Tim at tim@spiralrelease.com (mailto:tim@spiralrelease.com) to get on the YiY hiking mailing list.
